Justice for Jae Friedman

Jae had a lengthy relationship with substance abuse and he battled his demons throughout his life. Despite his struggles, Jae was valued and Jae was loved.

He was living an independent and happy life despite being blind and in a wheelchair. Jae lost his eye when he was attacked in a homeless shelter. His leg was amputated above the knee in 2022 due to medical mismanagement within the correctional system.

Jae was shot in the neck by an officer with the Austin Police Department on April 3, 2024. He needed help but was met with a bullet.

His family is heartbroken.

More than his diseases, Jae will be remembered for his charisma, his musical talent and his sense of humor.

This website is dedicated to honoring his memory, sharing his story, and advocating for justice and reform.
